Preserve Performance Before the First Nail
ICON® is engineered to deliver long-lasting durability and visual appeal, but proper storage and handling are key to ensuring it performs as intended from the moment it arrives on site.

Store Smart
- Keep ICON® boards protected in a shaded, dry area before installation.
- Stack materials flat on evenly spaced dunnage, a minimum of 12 inches off the ground, to allow airflow and prevent moisture absorption.
- Protect from direct sunlight and weather exposure, which can cause premature surface color changes.
- If stored outside, ICON® must be covered with a tarp to protect it from moisture and UV rays.
Handle with Care
- Avoid dragging or dropping boards to maintain edge integrity and surface finish.
- Please make sure to keep boards clean and free of debris to prevent discoloration of the material

Acclimate Before Installing
Before fastening ICON® to any structure, allow it to acclimate on-site for at least 72 hours. This ensures the wood adjusts to local conditions—temperature, humidity, and airflow—helping prevent unnecessary movement and improving long-term performance.
