Preserve Performance Before the First Nail.

ICON® is engineered to deliver long-lasting durability and visual appeal, but proper storage and handling are key to ensuring it performs as intended from the moment it arrives on site.

Store Smart

Keep ICON® boards protected in a shaded, dry area before installation.
Stack materials flat on evenly spaced dunnage, a minimum of 12 inches off the ground, to allow airflow and prevent moisture absorption.
Protect from direct sunlight and weather exposure, which can cause premature surface color changes.
If stored outside, ICON® must be covered with a tarp to protect it from moisture and UV rays.

Handle with Care

Avoid dragging or dropping boards to maintain edge integrity and surface finish.
Please make sure to keep boards clean and free of debris to prevent discoloration of the material.

Acclimate Before Installing

Before fastening ICON® to any structure, allow it to acclimate on-site for at least 72 hours. This ensures the wood adjusts to local conditions—temperature, humidity, and airflow—helping prevent unnecessary movement and improving long-term performance.
