Our Story

When Timothy Seale launched Timber Trading Group in 1983, he set about creating partnerships with the retailers who needed quality products to meet the expectations of their customers.

One of our first priorities was to locate the finest Eastern White Pine — then and now our signature offering in a product line that has expanded to include primed products and clear hardwoods. 

Our next step was to take quality to a whole new level. To do this, we established a new inspection, grading, branding and packaging process. Our lumberyard customers applauded. In addition to offering unmatched quality, our PERFECTPack® system reduced costs, increased profits, reduced waste, improved turns, and strengthened relationships between our retailers and their customers.

Today, that same partnership perspective continues to influence everything we do — from building quality into all our products to finding new ways to deliver value.
